Doctors of AK Clinics participated in the 16th Annual Conference of the Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons (AHRS) India – HairCon Chennai 2026, held from 13th to 15th February 2026 at MGM Beach Resort, Muttukadu, Chennai. The conference brought together leading hair transplant surgeons and dermatologists from across India to discuss advancements in hair loss management and evolving treatment practices.
AK Clinics maintains a longstanding association with AHRS India. Dr Kapil Dua and Dr Aman Dua, Co-Founders of AK Clinics, are Founding Members of AHRS India and have been involved in the annual conference for the past 16 years, demonstrating ongoing academic engagement in structured hair restoration practice.
Representing the clinic at HairCon 2026 were Dr Aman Dua, Past President of AHRS India, Dr Kapil Dua, and Dr Bhawna Bhardwaj, who contributed through academic presentations and professional participation.
HairCon Chennai 2026 served as a key platform for sharing knowledge in hair restoration, bringing together experienced surgeons and dermatologists from across the country. The conference covered both surgical and medical aspects of hair loss treatment, encouraging organised discussions to improve clinical practices and raise treatment standards.

Dr Kapil Dua virtually attended the conference and shared his insights on choosing a FUE device and how FUE devices have evolved. His speech also included a detailed discussion of the art of slit-making in hair transplant and why it is a true sign of the surgeon’s experience and expertise, contributing to natural-looking results.

Dr Aman Dua delivered a presentation on the Management of Female Pattern Hair Loss (FPHL). Her session focused on the causes of hair loss in women and highlighted the importance of accurate diagnosis prior to starting treatment. She reviewed available clinical treatment options, including medical management and structured long-term plans tailored to individual evaluations.

Dr Bhawna Bhardwaj presented a comparative study on PRP vs PRF in scalp donor area healing of hair transplant patients. Her session focused on the clinical application of these regenerative therapies and their role in post-operative donor management.
